Newport Banning Ranch: Revised Plan
As you can see, they kept the 895 homes, but made them much more dense to accommodate the reduced buildable area. The original plan can be found here: http://thenewhomeblog.wix.com/the-new-home-blog#!NBR-Cleo-and-VOI-Mispricing/c1sp5/571d2cbc0cf228a96f116585
The proposal is coming up in September. Expect ferocious environmental-friendly crowds at the meeting and intense news coverage.
There are 122 detached homes planned: 31 single-family homes with most of the views, and 91 motor-court/garden-court homes, 51 in the north village, 40 in the south village. You choose which is more "coastal".
There are 281 non-mid rise attached homes: 150 4-story flats similar to Camden and Skylar at Playa Vista in the south village, and 131 townhomes (2 different distinct types) in the north village.
There are 496 mid-rise attached homes planned in two separate buildings. There is an underground level as well (so 6 levels technically). The one in the southern village, I feel, is trying to achieve a "101 Ocean" feel, but Newport Beach is not Santa Monica (by far)...
